Public Art

The art selection committee for Skedsmo municipality in Norway are inviting artists / artist collectives to express their interest in commissions for Flomvollen Kunstpark. The art park is currently under construction in the town of Lillestrøm in Skedsmo municipality. Lillestrøm is situated 18 kilometres north of Oslo.

The selection committee are looking for site-specific works that can relate to issues of the environment and renewable energies, and that will contribute to making the art park a place where people will want to congregate. Collaboration with scientists and researchers is a possibility, as Skedsmo municipality is home to Norway's leading research unit on solar energy, renewable energy, etc.
